Cafe Hagen to Open New Location in Bellevue

Cafe Hagen is preparing to open a new café in downtown Bellevue at the Symetra Financial Center, scheduled for September 16th. Owner Maria Beck, who relocated from Scandinavia, aims to bring the principles of hygge—comfort and simple pleasures—into the café experience. The new location will serve an exclusive line of coffee roasted by Hagen Coffee Roasters, alongside a menu featuring Scandinavian-style food and snacks. Since its first establishment in South Lake Union in 2019, Cafe Hagen has successfully expanded to multiple locations in Seattle, and the upcoming Bellevue café will mark its first venture on the Eastside, with another location planned for Kirkland in fall 2024. The café will offer a range of services, including breakfast, brunch, lunch, specialty coffee, wine, and cocktails, all featuring homemade baked goods inspired by Scandinavian pastry recipes. This expansion not only enhances the local dining scene but also reflects the growing demand for unique culinary experiences in Bellevue. With a focus on high-quality ingredients and a welcoming atmosphere, Cafe Hagen aims to create a community hub for both locals and visitors alike.
