Free Face Masks Available in the Heart of Bellevue

In response to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, the City of Bellevue has partnered with the Bellevue Chamber to provide 40,000 free face masks to local residents. Beginning July 13, 2020, residents can pick up kits containing two cloth masks at designated locations, including the Bellevue Chamber and Tutta Bella in Crossroads Bellevue. This initiative is part of King County's broader strategy, which includes the purchase of 25 million masks to enhance the availability of personal protective equipment. Bellevue Mayor Lynne Robinson stressed the importance of face coverings in curbing virus transmission, stating that the community must ensure everyone has access to masks. "Wearing face coverings can reduce virus transmission, but people can’t be expected to have them readily at hand," she said.
